Aline Fischer has worked between France and Germany since 2001. She is a graduate of Sciences Po Strasbourg and the Film School Konrad Wolf in Potsdam-Babelsberg, and studied at the Documentary School of Lussas. She spent some time at the Sapir College School of Audio in Sderto (Israel), and resided a number of times in Jenin in West Bank on a Deutschlandstipendium grant (Ministry for Education and Research – Germany).  

In 2010, with the CNC and the Louis Lumière - Villa Medicis Hors les Murs scholarship, she screened her first medium-length documentary L’Ouest Sauvage, (57’ Prod: Bellota Films) at the German-Polish border. Between 2004 and 2012 she assisted German director Gerd Kroske and French and Belgium directors Anne Philippe and Patric Jean. Her first fiction feature film, Meteor Street, was screened at the Berlin Festival in 2016 in the Generation 14 Plus section, and at the opening of the section Perspective German Cinema. It was nominated for the Best First Feature Award at the Berlinale and screened at over 40 international festivals where it won several awards. Her cinematographic essay The Green Star received the prize for Best Film Schools Project at the 2012 Berlinale, and was selected in competition at the International Festival Dok.Fest Munich and the Festival Max Ophüls Prize in 2014. Her first fiction short film Maik was selected in 2013 at the Belo Horizonte International Short Film Festival and the RIFF Rome Independent Film Festival, amongst others. 

In 2018 she was assistant director to Rabah Ameur-Zaïmeche, and made a film for jazz trumpeter Erik Truffaz. In 2019 she wrote and directed one of the episodes of the ensemble movie The Love Europe Project, produced by ARTE, and works with the F93 association on cinema projects for schools in Seine-St-Denis. 
She is currently working on her second fiction feature film and filming a creative documentary on the world of the One man show and illusionism, which is also the core subject of her fiction feature film. She is co-writing a Franco-German series.
