INTERNATIONAL JURY WOS 2016
Thierry Jousse, French filmmaker, radio journalist, screenwriter and film critic, was born in Nantes in 1961. After working as chief editor of the magazine Cahiers du Cinema from 1991 to 1996 and writing numerous books on cinema (John Cassavetes and David Lynch amongst other subjects), he made three short films including Le Jour de Noël and Nom de code : Sacha starring Philippe Katerine.
Not limited to cinema, during the second half of the 1990's, he worked as music journalist for Inrockuptibles and Jazz Magazine, as well as numerous radio shows on France Inter (Le Masque et la Plume) and France Musique (Cinema Song, Easy Tempo).
In 2005, he made his first feature film Les Invisibles, starring Laurent Lucas, Lio and Michael Lonsdale, and then in 2009 his second Je suis un no man's land starring Philippe Katerine. Since then, he has worked regularly for Arte (making a documentary on the golden age of soundtracks, Cartes Blanches Blow Up).
