Karin Schockweiler

Having studied marketing and communication in Munich and later stage production and development at the LA extension of UCLA, Karin Schockweiler began working in the communication department at Groupe Kirch. In 1991 she joined the German television channel ProSieben, coordinating the programming and later content procurement, before setting herself up as an independent consultant in 2000.

Since 2004, Karin Schockweiler has worked at the Film Fund Luxembourg, where she has been deputy director since 2013. She also directs the Media Bureau of the European Commission. Since 2009 she has been a member of the Fund Selection Committee, representing Luxembourg at the Eurimages Fund and is a member of the Creative Europe Committee.
