Over the course of seven editions, the European screenwriting support programme WoS Fabrique has supported 70 projects and awarded prizes to 28 of them, which received grants to begin production on the screenplays developed during the residencies. To date, 17 of these projects have been produced and screened at numerous festivals. These projects, led by young European filmmakers and producers from the programme’s partner film schools, have at times extended far beyond the borders of Europe. The productions realised to date as part of the programme demonstrate great diversity, both in the conflicts depicted and in the perspectives, approaches and countries of production.

Following the screening of two WoS Fabrique films – winners from previous editions – we will look back at their production with Emile Parseghian (director), Thibault Elie (producer) and Anne-Laure Berteau (producer), who will recount their journeys, which were at times fraught with pitfalls and strategic challenges.
