LAURENT ROTH

Born in Paris in 1961, Laurent Roth has worked as scriptwriter on several feature films and also acted in films by Mathieu Amalric and Peter Watkins. From the outset, he chose to work in documentary fiction with his first films Les Yeux Brûlés and L’impromptu de Jacques Copeau. He went on to include his own character in sensitive and quirky chronicles. Also a playwright and critic, he has written a trilogy for the theatre, publishes articles in the Cahiers du Cinéma magazine and is a commentator for France Culture.
