Following three years in prison, Ben wants to get back in touch with his son and find a place in society. From rehabilitation jobs to small offenses, sincere friendships to fundamentalist temptations, Ben fights to resist hatred and retrieve his dignity as a free man.

Born in Brussels in 1978 to actor parents, between 1998 to 2000 Guérin Van de Vorst studied philosophy at the Free University of Brussels. He went on to graduate in cinema filmmaking from the Institute of Arts of Diffusion. Since 2010 he has made four short films, including Macedonian Trip (Osez la Macédoine), selected for competition at the Palm Springs festival and broadcast on France 2. In 2011 his first documentary Ulysse was awarded the Grand Prize at the A Nous de Voir science and cinema festival. The Faithful Son (La Part Sauvage) is his first feature film.
